After recovering from a drunken night before, we decided today would be a good idea to go Munich Zoo and check out the delights of animals that were there. Once again we managed to get lost on the Munich underground network. At least this time we got away with not paying for the underground system that day.
Unlike the London Underground system or any train network in Britain, it is now practically impossible to try bunking the train fares, as more often than not there are train guards on the train checking tickets as well as ticket barriers at the stations. We were not used to how lax it was on the German underground network.
There were no barriers and no guards on the trains, which made getting around for free very easy.
We also had trouble at trying to find the Zoo, like most things on the trip to Munich. It didn’t help with Zac being in a completely foul mood. Heaven knows why he was in such a bad mood, but it had lasted for hours, ever since breakfast.
Still our German was still pretty patchy and when it came to asking for an adult ticket, I struggled with the pronunciation of asking for this adult ticket into the Zoo. Still at only 9 euros, it was pretty reasonably priced and further illustrated to me how much of a rip off the UK is.
It was like any other zoo, with a variety of animals, a perfect chance for Zac to whip out his camcorder and annoy me by filming literally everything we looked at. I was really hoping that the camcorder would get dropped somehow and break into thousands of pieces as it was really starting to get on my nerves.
I figured if I couldn’t say anything positive on the camcorder, I would just stay quiet out of the lens way.
