It was heart in mouth time at work on Monday. I went through the emotions of hope, sheer agony to despair and to sheer ecstasy all in the space of one evening. I was waiting anxiously at work for that all important text message confirming that my mum was successful and had purchased me Reading Festival tickets.
When that text finally came through, I punched the air with joy knowing, the best weekend of 2007 would be repeated in 2008!
This is going to set me back 165 quid, but it will be worth it knowing that I will spend the best weekend of the year (Unless I win the Lottery on some other weekend), all I need now is to find some people to go with to Reading.
It was the last day of College before we broke up for Easter holidays (Even though the Easter days had already gone) and for 2 weeks of salvation.
The college day began in earnest with my Media lesson and with our current teacher “Ill” we had to make do with a cover teacher. It was back to the project work and cracking on in hand on our media project.
We were hard at it… we went upstairs to computer section of the library to “Work” on our project, which essentially means talking around about my music and bands all lesson.
I could tell everyone was feeling it was the last day of the term, due to the fact that no one could be bothered to do any of the work.
After purchasing Reading Festival tickets, on Monday, that was only part one of my mission to gain festival tickets this week. The other festival I want to go to is Glastonbury, and I needed to find my mate and hand him my Glastonbury ticket money (As we are working as a team in trying to obtain tickets).
After failing to contact him during the lunch hour at College, I did start to worry if I would have to come in Friday to chase him and hand him my money. Fortunately he was in my business lesson, so at the start of the lesson I handed him the money.
As with my previous blog entries, I have outlined my hatred towards this girl in my business class and today was another reason to hate her even more.
She is the girl infamous for asking the most pointless and ignorant questions imaginable. Questions which include “What is a novel?” and “Do American’s celebrate Christmas” as a couple of her absolute classic questions she has asked to the business teacher.
All through the academic year it has been a running battle between her and the business teacher and the running battle for Thursday’s lesson was the fact she couldn’t get a highlighter too highlight the pre seen exam case study we where going through in class.
As she didn’t have a highlighter and the person next to her didn’t want to share hers she threw a bit of a temper tantrum and in the end asked the teacher who was going out the class briefly anyway, for in turn he stuck his middle finger up to her as he left the class.
Despite that he returned with some highlighters and started handing them out to everyone bar her. I even got a highlighter and this clearly didn’t impress the girl. She was spitting venom at the thought of me having a highlighter. She started moaning at me to give her a highlight until the teacher told me to give my highlighter to her.
I was then surprised by this girl the other side of the room. I have never spoken to her, but she gained my respect by offering me her highlighter pen, which she threw to me. I thought it was a nice gesture myself.
Turns out after the lesson had finished she started calling me a “Cunt” for not giving her the highlighter. I calmly explained to her “That as a male the word Cunt really isn’t that offensive to me” and just summed up why I hate her so much. Even my friend, who is friends with this girl, told her to “Stop it”.
I can sense it being really soon before I snap and just let rip at her.
Even this other girl in my class overheard what was being said, and was saying to me how much she, “Hated the girl” whilst walking back on the way to the train station. I pointed out how “Insecure this girl due to the fact that she does nothing but insult other people” which the other girl agreed with.
I was surprised at how easy going and genuinely nice this girl was. It was the first time I had properly spoken to her since I moved Business Studies classes from last academic year. It made a refreshing change to talk to someone like her. Genuinely friendly and could talk to you about anything. In the end we ended up talking about musical festivals and in such talking about the up and coming Glastonbury ticket sale.
