Getting My Own Back

There is nothing like the hustle and bustle of college life, except for where you can’t stand being at College in the first place and as the weeks draw closer to Summer, so does my attention to the long over due Summer holiday break from College and what I have had to endure this year, I will probably deserve it.

I have to put up with the most inane drivel from my lecturers and endured long, suffering, sub standard lessons which last more than 2 hours with some dick heads as my class mates.

You can tell when it is summer from the Summer smell in the air. It’s the time of the year where shades become fashionable accessory again and there is a distinct breeze in the air, and it’s a time where you can finally start wearing t shirts again.

It’s just a shame that unlike school, college can be a lot more stressful and the time of exams and revision is fast approaching.

First lesson today was Media and back to working in my groups towards our media project. My section to complete was to get the questionnaire up and running and gain feedback for it. I did so the night before, but due to a technical problem we couldn’t obtain the results so I had to spend today’s lesson re-doing the questionnaire and trying to promote it on the web so people would take the survey. I spent the majority of the lesson completing the new questionnaire.

The previous night I had got talking to this girl from my village (Who happens to be in the same Media class as me) and it was good to see that we continued talking during today’s lesson.

After today’s lesson I headed into town with my other 2 mates from my Business lesson and spent lunch eating at Nando’s.

My business was going along swimmingly until a brief moment in the 2nd half of the lesson where I found the courage to stand up for myself. No longer would I just let the fact slide that this girl belittles and attempts to embarrass me in class

“You didn’t hear what we said did you” – this girl goes to me. At this time point I was thinking she’s probably just made some wonderful wise crack about me. I responded back brutally saying

“Look I don’t give a shit what you said”

The girl then mentions my name in retaliation “Why are you so nasty to me”

“Because unlike everyone else, you’re the only one that is a complete arsehole to me”

This was when the sparks really began to fly

“You’re a cunt” was the best response she could come up with; I replied back with

“Go play with the traffic”

and after many lesson’s of just taking her shit, I’ve finally stood up for myself.
